ABOUT RICHIE CARTER

Richie Carter hails from the outskirts of Kalispell, Northwest Montana, and holds a BFA in Painting from The University of Montana, awarded in 2012. He spent time immersed in European art traditions, studying for a year in northern France and a semester in Venice, Italy.

This international exposure has imbued his work with a rich blend of tradition and contemporary flair. Today, based once again in Kalispell, he draws inspiration from his travels, capturing scenes from Montana's backcountry to European city streets. Richie's art aims to bridge the rich tradition of realism with contemporary realities, fostering genuine human connection. Beyond being a talented painter, he's recognized for his exceptional skills as an art educator.
